Embree has created a blog since becoming emeritus professor and wrote a post in July waxing nostalgic for the good old days of political consensus. A consensus about what though? Implementing a neoliberal political agenda which has reached its peak form in the United States today? Racism and homophobia still exist today. These are issues that are not addressed in the blog. Rather, there is an appeal to religion. Actually if one pays attention the culural shift which Embree ostensibly despises is seen in greater support among youth for ecosocialist-feminist action--not liberalism or the kind of Christian conservative values evident in Embree's blog. This current compells all of us to reject hate and bigotry which Embree's generation was indifferent to.

Having now read several of his posts and taken his class I will say this to Embree: Your politics are garbage and don't help anyone understand the reality of our world. Your politics reflect your backwardness and that of the tiny town you live in. Career counseling advice is something you have experience and can help with. Stick to that, maybe your readership will improve and perhaps teglin might even learn something useful.
